Marsha Doll | How I Got Here with Dave Fiore | Tallahassee Podcast

Marsha Doll

In this episode, host Dave Fiore speaks with Marsha Doll, one of the most recognizable and sought-after personalities in Tallahassee – and throughout the modeling world. The Perry native started her modeling career on a trip to Atlanta as a buyer for her grandfather’s clothing store at age 14. She would go on to work at influential modeling agencies throughout Florida before launching the iconic Marsha Doll Models in 1990. She has mentored thousands of aspiring women and men, many of whom have landed on billboards in Times Square and on runways and magazine covers around the world.

Marsha’s entrepreneurial spirit was revealed at age 5 when she started going door to door selling boiled peanuts, candy and even turtles from a nearby creek. As an adult, she says she got every job she ever interviewed for, with some of the more interesting being in orthodontia and working on the tarmac at the Tallahassee Airport. Her work on television includes roles on Miami Vice and most recently TLC’s Welcome to Plathville.

Marsha is two-time cancer survivor, mother and has married her husband, Dean, six times. Her energy and love of life are contagious, and she is grateful for the many opportunities she has had to follow her dreams and the life those dreams – along with a lot of hard work — have provided.
